In October I will be having a show w/ my Art Club at Bar Francis in downtown Olympia. I will be showing 3 pieces that each have QR code links to interactive writing. If I’m alone in a cafe it often feels like being in suspension. You know how it is when you’re waiting and looking around while killing time in an unfamiliar city or your friend is late? The QR codes will link to short writings for the purpose of entertainment that go along with the story of the show. I always have a story or theme when I make things. It’s not intentional but I’m steeped in questions and ideas. It’s usually some aspect of my general existential crisis; who am I, what is this weird thing I’m stuck inside, what happens when we die, what is consciousness? The ineffable.
